England players stand to receive £500,000 in win bonuses from the FA if they lift the World Cup next month, with leading players also in line for commercial bonuses worth several million pounds, each from their personal sponsors. The Mail on Sunday has learned that the FA have more than doubled the size of the players' bonus pot from the 2018 World Cup to about £13million, which would be shared among Gareth Southgate's 26-man squad. Southgate would also receive a bonus of about £3m if England are successful, on top of his £6m-a-year contract.
